Vartus Timlin

We’re going with my plan now.

Vartus Timlin is a bear of a man, the black clothing he wears understating the powerful physique beneath. While he doesn’t appear to be the brightest man, his eyes are honest, and his feature handsome.

Timlin, about two decades ago, was the factol of the Expansionists. A fairly popular faction in the Outer Planes (Their philosophy: “the nature of the multiverse is to grow”), they set their sights on conquering Sigil. Vartus was so strong and charismatic that he might have accomplished it… had he not been mazed by the Lady of Pain. Without his influence, his sect began to rapidly break down, many of its members joining the (now defunct) Godsmen. His sword, Lightbringer, was feared for its power; with it, Timlin defeated many powerful foes that sought to stop his faction’s growth.

The Doomguard ended up finding out the key into and out of his maze, and sent the party off to take the sword from Timlin. The party however, was unsuccessful, and Timlin forced them to show him the way out. He made a beeline to the nearest portal out of Sigil.
